CGC Ecology strategy

Childwall Golf Club recognises the importance of good environmental practices and continues to introduce initiatives which promote sustainability and minimise our impact on the environment.

The R&A defines golf course sustainability as: “Optimising the playing quality of the golf course in harmony with the conservation of its natural environment under economically sound and socially responsible management.”

We have developed a comprehensive and integrated Ecology Strategy, outlining our systematic and measurable approach to sustainability.

This will always be, a work in progress, drawing upon scientific and environmental knowledge as it emerges.

The aims are to:-

  • save time and resources
  • avoid waste
  • improve the overall quality of the course and the golfing experience, and
  • build our reputation as an example of best environmental practice.
